Last month I shot a wonderful and small wedding for Chih and Fadi. They came in from their home in the bay area with only their immediate family for a small outdoor wedding ceremony at Regan beach followed by a lunch reception at the Blue Water Bistro on the pier near the Timber Cove inn. Since their ceremony was so small and their reception was basically a lunch with a cake cutting at the end, with no dancing or flower toss or any of the other standard wedding fare, they opted to hire me for a short day on the wedding, then book a “trash the dress” photo shoot for the following day. Trash the dress in no way means that you have to trash your dress, but considering you will probably never wear it again, if it makes for an amazing photo, why not? This worked out great as we were able to have a relaxing wedding day with the family, then the following evening they had the parents watch their children while we went out for a couple of hours on a photo shoot around south shore.
