Last week we had a rare opportunity to do a senior portrait session in the Truckee/Donner Summit area. The bulk of our business is weddings and action/adventure photography so I was thrilled when I got the request from an old high school friend to shoot her daughters senior pictures. She had been following our work via facebook and drove up from Stockton just for the shoot. After emailing with the daughter, Jamie, I was able to get a sense of the style of image she liked. She universally chose backlit and warm sun-washed images as among her favorites. So naturally, the day they drove up, it decided to rain like the dickens and be cloudy. Well, we made due with what we had and chased the sun all the way to rainbow lodge where it poked out for about 5 minutes before setting and allowed us to capture the final images on the blog. Enjoy!
