Dustin and Marika put together an intimate wedding at the Twenty Mile House in Graeagle north of Truckee, California with about 30 of their closest friends and family. They only had me there for 6 hours on a Sunday, which really worked out to more like 5 hours of shooting because Marika’s hair and makeup in town ran an hour over schedule. With a small and relaxed wedding like this, it was no problem to make up that time and create some great pictures of them getting ready and and celebrating this happiest of days with their family and friends. The 20 mile house is a rustic venue in a really isolated environment. There are forests, rivers (normally, but dry this year,) train tracks, gardens and historical buildings to chose from for photographs. But the place really shines about twilight due to all the light-wrapped trees surrounding the reception area.
